About Us
Pappy's Grill & Pub was 'born' on June 17, 2005, when Steve and Michelle Margulies purchased the original Stan & Lou's. In early 2021, Steve, aka Pappy, passed away, and for 2 years, Michelle continued to carry on the legacy built by the two of them. In January 2023, longtime manager Jodie Krull purchased Pappy's Grill & Pub.
Our philosophy is relatively simple and has never changed: Offer our customers a clean, pleasant place to eat with reasonable prices and a friendly, caring staff. The menu has come a long way since 2005 with many sandwiches, salads, and wings, which are now becoming the new favorites. Tenderloins, one of our best-selling items, have won Best Tenderloin in St. Joseph since 2011. In the fall of 2011, we rolled out a new line of specialty burgers, and Pappy's has become the place to go for great burgers!
